Stephanie Palacios, PsyD, MFT, is an organizational consultant, trainer and workshop facilitator, keynote speaker, mindfulness teacher, advocate, and coach. Her intersectional experiences as a first-generation Colombian-Mexican-American woman inform her interest in serving Latinx, first-generation communities, and their leaders to help them thrive. Her own journey as a survivor and thriver of trauma informs her passion for trauma-informed practice.

Dr. Palacios completed her postdoctoral fellowship with a dual specialization in mindfulness through the Advanced Clinical Mindfulness Fellowship and primary care behavioral health integration at CHA and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Palacios received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology and M.F.T. from Adler University. She completed an advanced training year in mindfulness, stress management, and workshop design, facilitation, and evaluation at Northwestern University Stress Clinic. Her internship years held a specialized focus in behavioral health psychology at Johns Hopkins University and University of Colorado Boulder. Dr. Palacios also trained across medical, forensic, academic, government, and private sectors in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders and bilingual Spanish/English assessment.

She received advanced teacher training in MBCT through the Teacher Training Intensive program at the Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto; in Mindfulness Training for Primary Care (MTPC) Group Leader Training through CHA and Harvard Medical School; and a certificate program in Mindfulness and Psychotherapy through the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy.

Her research and clinical work has focused on the integration, design, implementation and evaluation of MBIs with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) interventions for stress management in Latinx entrepreneurs. She has previously worked as a change management specialist, assessment consultant, bilingual individual and family therapist, grant writer, and research scientist. She helps groups, teams, departments, and organizations strengthen their resilience, stress management, mindfulness, and DEI through national and international speaking engagements, consultation, and workshops.
