Group treatment based on CHA published research
showing how mindfulness practices improve our health

Group Description: Mindfulness practice helps with depression, anxiety, chronic illness, pain, and various kinds of stress.  With practice, you can return to a sense of calm and ease, even when facing emotional, social, and physical challenges. MPTC is a well-tested clinical treatment program, developed through CHA research funded by the National Institutes of Health and proven to help participants with depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and different kinds of stress. The group provides a safe, motivating environment to help you integrate mindfulness into your daily life. Reflecting on your practice with the rest of your group, you also discover which of the many techniques you’ve tried works best for you.

  • Weekly support from two CHA clinicians, trained in safely delivering the practices

  • Help overcome common barriers to beginning an independent meditation practice

  • An opportunity to attend a free, half-day retreat with other Mindfulness trainees

  • A chance to explore your Core Values and how they can help you live a more satisfying life

  • "Action Planning" skills that provide a template for tackling health-related challenges.

  • Groups are also available in Portuguese and Spanish.

These groups include an optional Saturday half-day online silent retreat. Retreats are free and not billed to insurance.

We encourage you to check with your health insurance provider regarding individual coverage and payments.
