Many Paths Initiative

Recognizing the widespread influence of white supremacy and cultural appropriation that have narrowed the forms of practices accepted as evidence-based pathways to mindfulness and compassion, CMC understands Many Paths exist for cultivating mindfulness and unlocking compassion.

Mission & Vision

Many Paths is a collaborative project at CMC whose mission is

1) to partner with and direct resources to community leaders who have deep knowledge and practice with many forms of mindfulness and compassion
2) to shine a light on areas of mindful and compassionate inquiry that have been overlooked

We seek to fulfill our mission by amplifying and fostering recognition of the established roots that support people to connect with mindfulness and compassion in many cultures, convening and hosting to enhance visibility of these many paths, and incubating innovative programs by helping establish a scientific understanding of practices that are currently underrepresented and minoritized in the biomedical, evidence-based, mindfulness and compassion field.
