Lydia Smith is a Data Research Coordinator at the CHA Center for Mindfulness & Compassion (CMC). After receiving her B.A. in Psychology from Bryn Mawr College in 2018, Smith first worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Social Development and Education at UMass Boston. In 2019, Smith joined CMC as a part-time clinical fellow, assisting in patient recruitment and running mindfulness groups. Eager to be more involved in the research behind the interventions, Smith began working full-time at CMC in 2020, supporting data analysis for all research projects. Smith is grateful for the opportunity to work with and learn from the wonderful team at CMC while serving the needs of her greater community. In the future, she intends to continue her study of mindfulness and compassion by pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology. When not nose-deep in STATA coding, Smith can be found hiking, cooking, at her CrossFit gym, or playing video games.
