Anxiety and depression are the most common presenting symptoms for which people seek psychotherapy, often fueled by shamefulness. This Level 2 training will explore anxiety, depression, and shamefulness from the perspective of IFS, an innovative approach that helps clients to own otherwise disowned coping mechanisms, to deepen and broaden participants' IFS skills.

If you earned a Level 1 Certificate of Completion prior to October 2024 from an Internal Family Systems Institute approved training, then you are eligible to apply to this Level 2 training.

Prerequisites
-PA applicants must have the ability to hold Self-energy and unblend.
-PA applicants must have a U.S. Social Security Number and mailing address.
-PA applicants must have already graduated from the level of training they are applying to assist. Preference may be given to PA applicants who are IFS Certified.
-PA applicants may not apply to assist the same training that they are enrolled in as a student.
Responsibilities
-Commitment to attend all training days (see training schedules above)
-Participate in staff meetings
-Support the Lead Trainer(s) and the Assistant Trainer
-Perform administrative tasks assigned by the Trainer and training staff
-Hold Self-energy for the training group
-Model Self-leadership, including maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
-Provide continuity for students, and Lead and Assistant Trainer(s)
-Participate in the student role when it meets the needs of the training
-Work with one’s own parts that may emerge during the course of the training
-Abide by IFS Institute's Dual/Multiple Relationship Policy (IFSI FAQ #28)
-Facilitate or co-facilitate home groups – develop a safe, satisfying, supportive environment that will facilitate students' learning, provide Self-energy for the group, track interpersonal and group interactions
-Work with small practice groups – support learning edges and provide feedback to the student who is in the role of therapist, protect exiles of the person in the role of client, model the IFS model, help track students' learning of IFS, understand the progression of skill development throughout the training

In order to be approved by IFS Institute (IFSI) for Level 2 completion, a participant must complete 27 of the 32 program hours offered. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they attend enough training hours to earn the Certificate of Completion if that is their aim.
In order to receive Continuing Education (CE) or Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit for this training, some disciplines may require 100% training attendance. Participants are responsible for verifying specific attendance requirements within their credentialing body.

This entirely virtual training includes lecture, discussion, live and video demonstration, experiential exercises, and small group practice, all offered via Zoom.

Full refund will be issued, minus $100 processing fee, for cancellation made up to two weeks before the start date of the training or course. 50% refund will be issued for cancellation in the period between two weeks and two working days before the start of the training or course. No refund is available if cancellation is within 2 working days before the start of the course or training or once program training materials are received.

-The entirety of this training is offered online via Zoom.
-Online sessions take place on Zoom, an online platform for video conferencing.

-Please ensure that your computer, any related equipment, and your internet connection are sufficient to attend a live Zoom event.
-Training members will receive Zoom links close to the start of the training, and these links are how you access this online training.
-Please note that the training is only for training members, so please take care to be in a private space when attending the training.
-This online training will meet according to the dates and daily schedule using the U.S. Eastern time zone in effect during each session of the training.

A Certificate of Completion (non-CE) is awarded by the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion. To be approved by IFS Institute (IFSI) for Level 2 completion, a participant must complete 27 of the 32 program hours offered. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they attend enough training hours to earn the Certificate of Completion.
IFS Certification
Participants are not IFS Certified until they successfully complete the IFSI certification. Information about the criteria for becoming IFS certified is available on the IFSI certification page, and by contacting certifications@IFS-institute.com
Eligibility for Future Trainings
By earning IFSI’s Level 2 certificate of completion, a participant is eligible to apply to a Level 3 IFS training.

Due to the volume of interested applicants for each training, the best way to apply is to sign up to be notified about new IFS trainings so that you are prepared when applications open. Each training will be listed on our website including, once open, a link to apply. If there is no link to apply, applications are not open. Applications are open for no more than 72 hours.

If you selected "submit," then your application has been submitted. Due to the volume of applications received for each training, we do not have the capacity to confirm each application submission.

Application decisions will be made in the weeks following application closure. If your application is selected for acceptance, you will be notified via email at the address listed in your application. Following acceptance, your spot in the training will be held for a limited time to allow you to confirm your enrollment with tuition payment. If you are unable to confirm your enrollment within the outlined timeframe, your spot in the training will be forfeited and offered to another applicant.

While we would love to welcome international PAs into our trainings, the compensation processes of Cambridge Health Alliance require a U.S. Social Security Number and mailing address, without exception.
